1.Actions in progress at the moment of speaking : he’s working at the moment
2.Temporary action,not necessarily in progress at the moment of speaking : my sister is studying at oxford university
3.Planned action : we’re spending next mont in bali
4.Repeated actions with adverb,like always,forever etc. : she is always helping people
PRESENT PERFECT
2 basic uses of the present perfect tense
1.Actions beginning in the past n continuing up to the present moment :
* with time references like before (now),ever,never,up till now,so far : I have never tasted durian (before)
* with since/for : I have lived here since 2008
2. Actions which happened at an unspecified time in …the past
*with no time reference at all : I have had breakfast
*with references to recent time like,just,recently,already,still,yet : I Have just eaten
*repeated/habitual actions : I Have wathed him on TV several times.
SIMPLE PAST
we use the simple past to talk about events, actions, or situations which happened in the past and are now finished. We always have to say (or imply) when the action happened. So we often use time references like yesterday, Ago, last summer.
We use the simple past :
1.to describe actions which happened in th…e recent or distant past :
*Aan phoned a moment ago
*the demak empire established in A.D 1500
2.to describe past habit :I swam 3 times a day till I gave up
if we do not use time reference. We imply them.
*I saw aan in downtown (i.e when i was there this morning)
SIMPLE FUTURE
the simple future tense
some uses of will and shall :
1.will and shall are modal verbs, so they are like can,must etc.
2.ye often use will and shall to make predictionm (the simple future tense) : it will be rain tomorrow.
3.we use will and shall in many other ways.apart from predicting the future : e.g
* reque…st / invitations : will you hold the door open for of.please ?
* offers : shall i get your coat for you?
*suggestions : shall we go for a swim tomorrow?
*threats : just wait! You’ll regret this!
*decisions : i’ll stop and ask the way.
In modern english,to state future time,we just use will,shall is just used for special time.For ex to emphasize. Or for different usage for ex. In question tag. Ex :

WILL VS BE GOING TO
Will versus be going to, each has meaning future.
Some uses of will and be going to
1.to express a PREDICTION :either WILL or BE GOING TO
ex.
- it will be cloudy tomorrow
- it is going to be cloudy tomorrow
2.to express PRIOR PLAN : only BE GOING TO is used
ex.
- I’ll meet my friend at rail station because he is going to dro…p in on my house.
3.to express WILLINGNESS:only WILL Is used
ex.
- ask your sister, and she will help you.
